No Ocean No Us

 Kia ora bloggers. welcome back to my blog, can you believe it we're back in lockdown. In Toroa for the term we have been working on ocean sustainability and how we can help keep our ocean's clean. In lock down we were giving a rubric with different tasks to do. These tasks are about different videos, and articles you have to watch and then reflect on them. The task I did was to make a canva that shows how Important our Ocean's really are here it is.

I hope that you understand what I'm trying to say here. Our Ocean's are very important to us.

Aladdin Production

Kia Ora bloggers. Welcome back to my blog. Since term 2 we have been working on the movie called Aladdin. We act out the movie but we made the movie a little different. We had to take of lunchtimes and even a sunday to practice this. The end result was really good. Everyone knew where their queues and everyone new their lines and overall it turned out amazing. Here are 2 of the photos.

If you didn't see I'm the one on the left in the first photo. I am a guard. in the end it was really cool.

Matariki Art

Welcome back to my blog. For the past few weeks we have been working on Matariki related things. If you don't know what Matariki is it is a star cluster that has 7 stars they are Matariki, Ururangi, Waipunarangi, Waita, Waiti, Tupu-A-Nuku and Tupu-A-Rangi. This is a very hugely celebrated thing in NZ. 

Our job was to make a cool Matariki art using a piece of foam. You have to draw the stars and mountains onto a piece of foam and then you have to use printing paint to print it on. Then you have to put the foam onto a piece of paper and then you would get a cool looking piece of art.

Super STEAM

 kia ora bloggers. Welcome back to my blog, for this week we have been working on something called STEAM this is for week 3,6, and 9. STEAM is a an abbreviation. It stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, And math. This is group problem solving and engineering. For this one the problem is a person is stuck at the bottom of a rock and you have to give them supplies without breaking any of the supplies. So you were given some materials and an egg. You have to protect the egg from breaking when it is dropped from the second floor. Here it is.

I hope you liked my work. I did this task pretty quickly because it was not that hard to do. I think that I did pretty well. My question for you is have you ever used slides before? and if you have what was it for.

Pixily Perfectness

Hi bloggers. At school some kids from Toroa and Korimako have been working on a movie and acting a movie. The Movie we have been working on is Aladdin Jr. It is a very interesting movie because it has a lot of different music and characters. And when we were not called to act we had fun challenges that were set up for us while we were not working. These were challenges like making a castle in Minecraft. But the one I chose was make our favourite character from Aladdin in Pixilart. Aladdin Minecraft

 Kia ora bloggers, For this term and possibly next term we have started a movie acting thing. Where we have a movie and we have different roles and then we have to learn our lines and then act it out. The movie we are doing is Aladdin. This movie is perfect for a school movie because it has a lot of dances and songs. And sometimes people are acting and sometimes they are not. If you are not currently acting the teachers made a slide with activities we had to go through. One of them was making the palace from Agrabah in Minecraft. here is my work

Hitler's Holocaust

For the past term we have been working on the Holocaust. If you don't know the Holocaust is the time when Hitler was in power and when the Nazis tortured and killed millions of Jewish people. The whole Idea of the us learning about the Holocaust is because of this book we were reading called "Once" by Morris Glietzman. The book is about a boy who is in an orphanage that goes out adventuring to find his parents and all this is happening during the Holocaust. 

We had to get information and then with our information we had to make it into a google site with different pages with different questions. There were different language features we had to use like simple points and technical words. We also had to use feelings in the book like imaginative, fear, and hope. We had to explore some questions like concentration camps, war, and liberation. We had to have one of each questions that start with How, What, When, Where, Who, and Why. 

We had to try and find some connections between questions. One I had was how did the Jewish people hide and that connected to what did the Jewish people wear so that they weren't caught. After putting all of m findings on to a google site I had to publish a blog post which is this one. I think that I did pretty well and took my time this is the LINK TO MY WEBSITE.
