Cringe Maths

 Kia ora bloggers. Welcome back to my blog for the last week or so our math group has been working on BEDMAS and long BEDMAS. We learned a lot about this over a few days and we were given a task. Our task was to make an informative and fun video that told people how to do BEDMAS. Some people in our class including me decided to impersonate how our teacher does it. Here it is. Water Quality

 Kia ora bloggers, The state water in the world is currently very bad. Our water is filled with chemicals, plastic and so much more. This affects the quality of our lives since the water we drink is not healthy. Most of our water come's from aquifers. The are little rocks of that store water inside of them. Drills are used to make well down to the aquifers that slowly get filled with water. We had to make a canva telling people how us humans are affecting our water. Here it is

No Ocean No Us

 Kia ora bloggers. welcome back to my blog, can you believe it we're back in lockdown. In Toroa for the term we have been working on ocean sustainability and how we can help keep our ocean's clean. In lock down we were giving a rubric with different tasks to do. These tasks are about different videos, and articles you have to watch and then reflect on them. The task I did was to make a canva that shows how Important our Ocean's really are here it is.

I hope that you understand what I'm trying to say here. Our Ocean's are very important to us.

Aladdin Production

Kia Ora bloggers. Welcome back to my blog. Since term 2 we have been working on the movie called Aladdin. We act out the movie but we made the movie a little different. We had to take of lunchtimes and even a sunday to practice this. The end result was really good. Everyone knew where their queues and everyone new their lines and overall it turned out amazing. Here are 2 of the photos.

Matariki Art

Welcome back to my blog. For the past few weeks we have been working on Matariki related things. If you don't know what Matariki is it is a star cluster that has 7 stars they are Matariki, Ururangi, Waipunarangi, Waita, Waiti, Tupu-A-Nuku and Tupu-A-Rangi. This is a very hugely celebrated thing in NZ. 

Our job was to make a cool Matariki art using a piece of foam. You have to draw the stars and mountains onto a piece of foam and then you have to use printing paint to print it on. Then you have to put the foam onto a piece of paper and then you would get a cool looking piece of art.

Super STEAM

 kia ora bloggers. Welcome back to my blog, for this week we have been working on something called STEAM this is for week 3,6, and 9. STEAM is a an abbreviation. It stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, And math. This is group problem solving and engineering. For this one the problem is a person is stuck at the bottom of a rock and you have to give them supplies without breaking any of the supplies. So you were given some materials and an egg. You have to protect the egg from breaking when it is dropped from the second floor. Here it is.

I hope you liked my work. I did this task pretty quickly because it was not that hard to do. I think that I did pretty well. My question for you is have you ever used slides before? and if you have what was it for.

Pixily Perfectness

Hi bloggers. At school some kids from Toroa and Korimako have been working on a movie and acting a movie. The Movie we have been working on is Aladdin Jr. It is a very interesting movie because it has a lot of different music and characters. And when we were not called to act we had fun challenges that were set up for us while we were not working. These were challenges like making a castle in Minecraft. But the one I chose was make our favourite character from Aladdin in Pixilart. Aladdin Minecraft

 Kia ora bloggers, For this term and possibly next term we have started a movie acting thing. Where we have a movie and we have different roles and then we have to learn our lines and then act it out. The movie we are doing is Aladdin. This movie is perfect for a school movie because it has a lot of dances and songs. And sometimes people are acting and sometimes they are not. If you are not currently acting the teachers made a slide with activities we had to go through. One of them was making the palace from Agrabah in Minecraft. here is my work

Hitler's Holocaust

Kia Ora bloggers. 

For the past term we have been working on the Holocaust. If you don't know the Holocaust is the time when Hitler was in power and when the Nazis tortured and killed millions of Jewish people. The whole Idea of the us learning about the Holocaust is because of this book we were reading called "Once" by Morris Glietzman. The book is about a boy who is in an orphanage that goes out adventuring to find his parents and all this is happening during the Holocaust. 

We had to get information and then with our information we had to make it into a google site with different pages with different questions. There were different language features we had to use like simple points and technical words. We also had to use feelings in the book like imaginative, fear, and hope. We had to explore some questions like concentration camps, war, and liberation. We had to have one of each questions that start with How, What, When, Where, Who, and Why. 

We had to try and find some connections between questions. One I had was how did the Jewish people hide and that connected to what did the Jewish people wear so that they weren't caught. After putting all of m findings on to a google site I had to publish a blog post which is this one. I think that I did pretty well and took my time this is the LINK TO MY WEBSITE. Super Scratch

Kia ora bloggers. For our Maori the past few weeks we have been working on how to say the weather in Maori. We had to make a creative way to show the weather and everyone used scratch. We had to make it interactive so that it stood out unlike a boring google slide. We had to say how was the weather and then the viewer has to try and answer. Here is my work

Yanny Or Laurel

Kia Ora bloggers. For this week we have been working on mind tricks. One trick we have been learning is the Yanny or Laurel trick that drove the internet crazy. The trick is some people hear Yanny and some people hear Laurel. Our activity was to make an informative piece of writing that explains how this trick is done. We had to include things like at least 4 paragraphs and conjunctions. Here is my work

Wacky Weather

 Kia ora bloggers. Welcome back to my blog. For today we were working on how to say weather in Maori. We looked trough a few different slides that showed how to say it and things you can say back if someone asks you that. There are different replies to say if someone asks you that like Kei Te Were which means it is hot. And there are much more replies. And our activity was to make a poster showing different replies to that question and making it look creative. Here is my work.

 Kia ora bloggers. For the past few weeks on Wednesday we have been working on something called KOS it stands for keeping ourselves safe. One part of this activity was is if your friend is getting emotionally or physically hurt what would you do. We went through some little comic strips about different stories. And then after that there was one box at the end of the comic left and that is where we would fill out whats happening. In the one I chose its about a boy at the basketball court getting pushed over and then his basketball is taken from him. And our activity was to write what the boy who watched that would do. Here is my work.

If you don't understand at the end is the boy who watched helping up the kid who got pushed over. I think I did pretty well even though we did not have much time and had to rush it. My question for you is have you ever seen someone getting bullied?

Fun Voki

Kia ora bloggers. Welcome back to my blog. For the past few weeks we have been talking about                New Zealand and its culture. One part of that was the Treaty of Waitangi and how it was wrong. There were to technically two treaties. One the Maori one it said they would have sovereignty over their land but in the English treaty it said they would have sovereignty. This is because there wasn't really a Maori word for sovereignty and this was a big problem. Here is a link for my Voki.

Trip To NZ

Kia Ora bloggers. Welcome back to my blog for this week we had we were talking about England Coming to New Zealand and all about their trip. We had to do the route they came on and different problems they had on the way here and then what they saw when they reached here. Long Leg Legos

Namaste bloggers, welcome to this blog post. Today one of our activities was to make a Lego character but of us. We had to do things like hair clothes and if we finished that we had to do the background. It was hard because it was very difficult to get the hair correct because you either didn't have the correct colour or you just couldn't do it. So it took me quite a while. Here is my fabulous work.

Perfect Pepeha

 Kia Ora, Welcome back to my blog for this week we have been working on making a Pepeha about ourselves. Because most people are new to this class so we had to introduce ourselves to everyone else. First we had to just do it on a slide and then we had to make it onto a slide and then do an adobe spark about it. We had to add photos and then the writing and after that we had to voice over it. Cool Camp Coasteering

 Last week we went to Wainui to for our camp. Sadly this was my last camp at this school. Our camp was extremely fun I really enjoyed it. Then we were told to make a DLO showing our favourite part of camp. I decided to make it on a google slide and my favourite activity was Coasteering which is jumping of rocks into water but sadly we only got to do it 3 times which was pretty unfortunate. The other activities include Kayaking,High Ropes, Orienteering, and code breaker, Here is my fascinating work.

I hope you enjoyed my work. If I took some more time i think could have made it a bit more descriptive but I think that it is very good.
